My Sweet Family in the Philippines!!

So I got a handmade envelope filled with goodies inside from sweet sisters Rosemarie and Trisha. Even a sweet letter written by their mom from her and their daddy. :D I love these kids! This letter would of been unexpected except for the fact both girls and mom were excited to tell me they wanted to send one. Especially the girls. :D Here is Rosemarie and Trisha.

Rosemarie and Trisha sent me copies of report cards. Thanks even though you didn't have to like the letters you chose to. They sent me a sweet old photo of them with a letter on the back. They must know I love old photos. their mom sent me a letter. Yes believe it you two your mom dad send one from her and your dad. I got some cute hearts. A letter from Rosemarie and two amazing drawings. Yes Rosemarie you can draw. Trisha sent me a letter and since I love minons she drew me too. Yes I thinks the minions are too cite and funny. All was sent in the cutest handmade construction paper envelope. Thanks so so much girls and mommy!!

Hesler's Second letter to mom and I!!

So sweet 16 year old Hesler sent mom and I a second letter and a wonderful drawing!

I greet you with love; I hope that God pour blessings upon you and your family. I let you know several things about me. What I like to do best is in my spare time is to spend it with my friends. We go out and talk among ourselves. On ...T.V. I like to watch comedy programs but I don't really watch to much because there are many things to do. What I like best is to plat soccer. I like to attend the institute; most of my friends study there and on recess we spend time and talk. At my house I live with my aunt, her children, and my grandmother (hum thought he lived with dad and siblings. Things have changed.). I have a lot of fun with my cousins. I attend church every Sunday. The name of the church is Elohim from Ebenezer Ministries. The season of the year that I like best is summer because I go to swim with my friends; I like the rainy season because it is when we celebrate Christmas with our family. Tolya's fourth letter to me!!

Wow!!! I just got 3 letters back to back from my oldest in Kaz Tolya!!! Such a blessing even if it was quite a surprise. Since he said he did not mind my sharing our letters we write with others I am posting them. He is so open with me in h...is writing! He is just the sweetest young man.

I'm great. Hope you are well. I got all your letters. Sorry for not answering for a long time. I had a lot of work at school.

I cut my finger when I worked. It is ok now. It didn't hurt because it happened very quickly. My brothers gave me ring. It is silver. It says "Спаси и Сохрани". I don't like to smile, but if you like when I smile in the photos I'll smile for you.

I'm glad to know you better. we have a lot of things in common. I don't play tennis very well. It is much fun skiing. I'm happy we are friends.

Yes, I like music. I listen to different kind of music. I like quiet music. My favorite lessons are Physical Education, Self Knowledge, Art and Craft, Russian Literature, etc. I like reading poems and novels. I don't sing and dance well.

Tolya's third letter to me!

Wow!!! I just got 3 letters back to back from my oldest in Kaz Tolya!!! Such a blessing even if it was quite a surprise. Since he said he did not mind my sharing our letters we write with others I am posting them. He told me about making president! The photos and all just made it to me first! I have no idea what Halloween party he is talking bout though. LOL. I was telling him how drugs never help anyone and neither does alcohol. He is just the sweetest young man.

How was Halloween party? I'm glad you like the conference. It is very good to learn new things and meet new people. I love your pictures. I admire people who can help poor people. I graduate school this year. I'll be happy with any things you send to me. I'm happy to graduate. I think it will be very interesting at the college. I promise to tell you about it. Another Letter Received Another Photo Sent... Yippee!!!

Got a photo of my Tolya with one of my letters tonight. Either they got him waking up, going to sleep or something. The smile is amazing as always! I swear my kids are trying to cheer me up. I am greatful to them for that. They and the people over the orgs just know when to send things.

Haile's First Letter To Me!!!

As you know I have mentioned my mom gave me a letter from Haile who is 13 from Ethiopia. This is actually his second or third letter from him. The first never made it to me.

 

 

 I will write it just as... he wrote it. Here is the letter:

 Dear Amanda Watts,
How are you my dear supporter? Me and my families are very fine, thanks to God. We finished summer (the rainy season).
We finished our 2 month vacation and started class. Our first week at school was nice. September is part of spring season.
There is a yellow flower which only grows in September. Children sing on New Year and the founding of the cross holiday ((? Easter)) which are celebrated in September.
I got your letter and picture I am so happy. I got 187 b.m. ((Think that is right. The writing is hard to read.)) you send for my birthday. I bought shoe by it.

Happy 5th To Jairo!!!

Guess who is turning 5 years old today!!! Shouting out a happy birthday all the way to Peru! This sweetheart won my heart just after my granny passed. They shared a name... Jean. I hope he has the best birthday. I know he has got one of his presents early. This sweethearts prayers were answered when his mom accepted God as her Lord and Savior.

My mom handed me a letter before church Sunday!! I decided to read it for the church during the presentation yesterday. I am very happy because this letter had a surprise and prayers answered. Compassion Weekend!!

I have had a compassion filled weekend. Friday my mom and I rushed after work to pick up my cousin from college an hour away. We then drove another thirty minutes to a church that had scheduled an event. We met Legacy Five there and helped them to get one of their children sponsored out they had for a little girl in India. She had been waiting ten months. Almost a year!! A Sunday school class sponsored her. :) Legacy Five I must say after meeting them are so sweet and so funny!! The young guy they have that plays piano is amazing and One of the guys that sing has such an amazing voice that is so so deep!!
This Saturday was spent preparing for Sunday.....
 Today I did my presentation at church. I finished speaking at church for Compassion. Yes I did shake like a leaf. Yes I did stutter some and stumble over a couple of words. The booth came together amazingly even though we did end up short a table. So the long nights were worth it. I forgot to read some things just as they were on paper and teared up reading two of my little ones letters. All went great though. We warned as well as my preacher did to the church we were nervous and not ones for speaking. I did have many say we had to of been fibbing because the speech was amazing. Today we have had a good deal of people showing interest. One person wants to correspond and asked after being inform about what was going on with Philippines packets that as soon as I could get one she wanted to sponsor a child there possibly. Compassion call there monday to see when I can get a packet. One interested in water for life and the other got compassions number and the website... A productive day and the word is out. That is a step up in my opinion. Thanks everyone who has been encouraging me and thanks to The Way Community Church for allow Julie and I to speak to you all today. Special thank you to Brother Matt for not forgetting us and making us feel a little more at ease up there.

My uncle died in the summer in the traffic accident.

My aunt named Alena is very nice. She cooks so well. She cooked for my birthday.

My birthday is August 6th.

Our kids stay at the camp named Golden autumn in the summer, I mostly stay with my aunt. But love the camp also,

When I was there, we played games and sports and went fishing, It was fun!

Tolya and flash mobs!!!

Sok had a flash mob type of contest!! I was surprised when I found this picture.. Toyla is dancing on the right hand side!! He says he does not like to dance too much. This was definitely an unexpected. He seems to be keeping beat. One of his friends are the one in the black. Proud of Tolya for doing things even if it may not be his favorite thing to do. Maybe I should be learning from him...

Can you spot Tolya in the crowd at the flash mob contest!? I could quickly. I will give you a hint. He is in white. ;) LOL.

Tolya's Great Accomplishment!!!

Had more issues yesterday with my car battery twice. He made my day so much better. Nothing could bring me down for the rest of the day after I found out the great news. I am beyond proud of one of my boys. Tolya made a huge accomplishment!!

I wanted to share a little funny I found out about this while at work.

I had one of those awkward moments that your so happy you start randomly dancing at work while making cookies . Turn around to find one of the hunting guides staring. His first question... what are you doing. All I could do at that point is grin and say happily... dancing of course! Guess he was just confused as to why since he told me he realized that. Lol. Oh yeah by the way I don't dance so guess he got a glimpse of my goofiness that day. 

Has anyone else been this happy especially as a sponsor?? :D 

My Philippines sweethearts and family!

I have been having trouble with my car recently and the battery dying. It has kept me quite frustrated. God seems to be finding way to make me forget it though. The beginning of this week it was through these sweet photos along with more. I was surprised when the youngest of the two girls I call family in the Philippines sent me a ton of photos on them receiving and opening their Christmas package I sent. I wanted to share some of them with everyone. I love these girls to death and worried about them during the typhoon. I only relaxed as they both close to the same time messaged me to tell me they were safe and their house was undamaged by the typhoon. Thanking God with all that is in me for that even as I morn for those that lost everything or that lost their lives. They picked up their package from the post office right before the typhoon hit. I am so happy the items helped to ease them through the fear of the typhoon. Whether playing with the glow in the dark bracelets or sleeping with the dolls for comfort at night. I have come to find out the names the youngest called the dolls. Even felt my heart squeeze to find out one of the dolls were named Mandy short for my name so she could always remember me. :D These girls have become so loved deep down in my heart I think I wouldn't know what to do without them.

I wrote them all a letter with the package I sent to them for Christmas explaining things in the package and just talking. Trisha showed it back to me!! :D

So glad they were able to give her a little comfort during the typhoon. To see them happy is like Christmas to me and makes me happy too. :D

Trisha is surrounded by doubles of almost everything. In the left hand corner I just noticed that you can see the green and orange of their moms scarf/vest I sent. It is beautiful. Hope she liked it. :D
