Many would say college is a time of partying, having fun, and being carefree. Well not in a small town... A small town everyone knows everything. There are no parties that are not broken up by the police or campus security. So with time the partying winds down and then becomes nonexistant. I have never been a party girl but know many who are. You find other things to occupy your time such as playing soccer at night, walking around campus, doing the dreaded thing HOMEWORK, and whatever your friends or your mind can come up with. Some people like I eventually start commuting and leave the dorm life for the more interesting life at home. That may be in a small town also, but it doesn't matter you've lived that life for so long it's natural. You trade your life from dorms to full time schooling and a job for gas. Or in my case two jobs.. You bust your behind to get a little gas money to continue schooling, you try to manage getting all the load of homework your assigned each night whether for online classes or your on campus classes, you become tired often but you go on because nothing can be worse than those dorms. You fight to make time for family, friends, the love of your life. But you know what it all makes everything a lot more precious and worthwhile.
