The presence of dignity doesn't mean poverty is absent. My thoughts....

Compassion is asking us to write what the phrase below means to us for blog 4 of blog month 2103.

The presence of dignity doesn't mean poverty is absent.

What does that sentence mean to me....?

One in Africa sweeps dirt off of the ground that serves as their homes floor....
One in Central America  proudly displays their very small home made of clay and what they can find....
One in the Caribbean shares what little food they have with someone more in need even though they really don't have it themselves....
One in South America makes sure that their guests are comfortable even if they themselves have to be seated on the floor of their home....
One in Asia shows kindness and a smile to another whether they need it more themselves or not.

All hold their heads up and show dignity no matter  how bad their lives are. No matter what struggles they face. These people show dignity just by how the act and how they face the day. They show pride in what they have.

We could help a child that has had to do this just by giving a small amount of our salary each month. We can help their struggles lessen while maintaining their dignity. We can take them out of poverty with compassions help. I want to introduce some children still waiting for that little bit of help from each place named.
