Hooray!!!

Straight from Compassions website! This is the numbers or children sponsored during blog month in October. So glad I took part in blog month!

Off the facebook website:
4,255 was the final number. 4,255 children sponsored online during Blog Month. That’s way beyond the goal we set, almost 1,100 exactly. Thank you so much. Your support has helped offer hope and opportunity to thousands of children living in extreme poverty. On their behalf we are tremendously grateful.

My other part I have a heart for....

I know this may seem off of what I usually write about, but I have kids as does my mom from here. Our animal kiddies. :D This is my local shelter. All you animal lovers anywhere if you can donate to them it would be great 100% donated money and supplies go to the animals well being. I have volunteered here quite often and the love for the animals is very clear. Adoptions and donations are rare pretty much to them and even a little is a lot.

Here are our kids we have adopted from the shelter. All have been so sweet, lovable, well tempered.

This is Delilah I also adopted a full grown female dog that looks like she does named Red.

I fostered Lilly for quite a while.

Cassie I adopted from the shelter.

Shadow my moms adopted.

Every little bit counts if you can donate money or supplies. Mainly they need money for vaccinations and dewormer right now. They do have paypal also.

Dresses And Clothing For Haiti!

Almost done with posts. On my last one now. I have busily been making dresses and writing to my kids over the last week. I finally finished the dresses that are planned to go to Haiti.
They have been boxed and sent off to the kind lady in Pa that is going. :) She got them today and said the kids will love them along with the other clothing I sent with the dresses. Glad to know that I can at least be a part of making children smile and providing children clothing they desperately need. I have only done something like this once trusting that the things would get to the children would get the items. That was bows for a children's hospital. I was pleasantly surprises to find in the mail a little later on a card from the hospital thanking me and telling how much the bows meant to the kids. Now this knowing photos will come to verify my efforts with this woman going to Haiti. My heart soars... ! :D

My Youngest Phillip's First And Second Letter!!

On to my third post out of many that I need to make. Monday my mom called saying I got two things in the mail. Wednesday as I was ridding with her to the doctor the second thing I got in the mail was a manila envelope. I opened it to find all kinds of things to make me smile from my two Ugandan orphan boys. I will share the youngest boy his things he sent here.
He sent me two letters in an small manila evnvelope. The first in May before I sponsored him and the second in June where I am not sure if it was written before or after I sponsored him.

Here is the first letter my sweet little now 7 year old sent to me written in May:
Here is what his first letter said I believe written most likely by his mom:

                                                                                   Kitamirike Phillip

Now here is his photo:

His letter was the sweetest and helped me to get my smile back some from reading my oldest Philip's letter. Bless the sweetheart he wants me to visit so bad.

My oldest Philip's first letter!!

On to my second post out of many that I need to make. Monday my mom called saying I got two things in the mail. Wednesday as I was ridding with her to the doctor the second thing I got in the mail was a manila envelope. I opened it to find all kinds of things to make me smile from my two Ugandan orphan boys. I will share the oldest boy his things he sent here.

First thing I saw was the photo that I saw when I first sponsored him. My own copy!!
When I flipped it over I noticed another photo of him slightly different, but still great with a Bible verse attached.
Then I looked at the next thing and it was a drawing he made for me. I think it is just absolutely beautiful!
I then said well the other had a back too so I would check the back here to. Sure enough before it was laminated dirt and all someone related to LMU wrote info they had on him. His birthday is a question. He is put down as two different years. Their putting him as 19 on one and 16 on another. Everyone has come to the agreement he seems more 16 through not only his looks, but also his attitude and the way he acts. :) Here's what was put on the back. Love so much of it. Had to giggle at what he someday hopes to do.
Now for the part that gave me the biggest smiles and helped more than anything to brighten my mood no matter how bad I felt at that moment. A white envelope stared at me with his name on it. It contained his letter to me. The smile faded a lot once I read it. It was a page long sad and left me wishing I was allowed to help how he wants most. The letter in all was so sweet.
The letter says mistakes and all:

He put in sqiggles on the left hand side feel free as you read this letter.
The Letter:
Muwanguzi Philip:

Dear my Sponsor:
How are you now? I my self I am called Philip Muwanguzi. I am 16 years old. I am a to far orphan. My father died of In 2010 march of HIV AIDS. I have a family of 4 childre I am youngest of all. I have Two brothers, and One Sister. I live in Uganda as my Lovely Country I like, I am a ugandan , and I want to have a sponsor In my life who will make our family pleased in Our present time. I am a christian who got saved in 2006 up to now I am still believing in God.
I am a very disciplined boy who like to be with friends, I like to be with in a family with love, I like a family peace which will wash away all my thoughts of this death of my parents:
Please my lovely and sweetest sponsor I am promising you that as you are choosing me to be your son, you will recieve blessings, happiness in our family, I like you, I need you, I feel you.
God bless your work and your family together with me as I am going to be your new family member.
Thanks for listening, God bless your.
Yours
faithful Son
Muuwanguzi Philip

This sweet boy has definitely pulled at my heartstrings. He calls himself my son and calls my family his family, but I wont have the privilege to get him here to the states orfor him to legally call me mom due to restrictions. I will say before I even received this letter I wrote to him in a letter that I tell him so much of my life because my family see him as our family no matter how far away he is. I hoped it would at least help him to heal even if it is just a little.

Card From A Good Pal!!

I have quite a few posts four to be exact I need to put up tonight due to the immense amount of exciting I have had this week. I will post the first here.

Monday my mom called saying I got two things in the mail. Wednesday as I was ridding with her to the doctor the first envelope I decided to open was one with on other address but mine in a small blue envelope. In it was the sweetest card with a short sweet written letter on it from a good friend. It put a smile on my face something I really needed at that moment after the week I was having. It is a cute card I think. It had a cute frog on the inside. Don't you think it is cute!? :)
