My Fourth Correspondent Child

As you all know I was on the 2nd list to be able to get my fourth correspondence child with Compassion....
Well as of today I was assigned my fourth.
Meet thirteen year old Fernando from the Dominican Republic...
Isn't he a handsome and great looking boy. :) His birthday is October the 11th. I hope that I will be able to write Fernando until he completes the Compassion progam. I also hope to be able to encourage him to follow whatever dreams he may have in life. Along with having faith in the Lord and that through God all things are possible.

Compassion Website (my advocacy)

I am an advocate for compassion now. Offically have my code and everthing, but my advocacy package already. This is compassions website, but it is a little different. It lets compassion know you found the child you sponsored ( if you choose to sponsor) through me. I hope this helps everyone. :)

Correspondence And Sponsorship Decisions. Oh And Excitement

I am going to introduce you to some new people in my life. I will have to be a little quick about it due to the fact I have advocacy training at 8:30. Can you say excited!!!
I made the decision on which child to sponsor of the two in my last post. The little girl did get sponsored out, so my only choice was my four year old little boy. I didn't mind though. Since I first saw him I was leaning towards sponsoring him. This little boy I guess you can say already had my heart. He lives with his mother and grandfather. His father does not live in his home.

This is Jairo Jean. I sponsored little Jairo in memory of my granny that I loved dearly. She passed just recently. They share the name Jean. Little Jairo is four years old and lives in Peru. He waited on the Compassion site for 311 days. He has a birthday on November 24th. Isn't he a cutie. Granny would of loved him and probably would have had a fit he had to wait so long for a sponsor. I plan for him to be my last sponsor child for some time. His sponsorship is a birthday present to myself. What a great birthday present to be able to write to this cutie from now on.
I also was trying to decide on whether to take on any more correspondent children other than just sweet little Dafner. I chose to take on not two more correespondent children, but three children. The difficult part was I had to get only two children and be put on the second list for my fourth correspondent child I will recieve. The lady that will choose for the second list is out of office right now. So I will have to wait for my fourth child on Wednesday. I applied for two more children today that I could already get. I applied in the morning and two amazing children popped up on my page when I was leaving work this afternoon. Wow... Fast right......

This is Amolo Everline my second correspondence child. In her information it looks like she goes by Everline. Amolo is 14 years old and lives in Uganda. Her birthday is January 19th. I hope to put a smile on her face with the time that I have with her. I hope to keep being her correspondent until she completes the Compassion program.
     Then there is.....

My third correspondent child Haile. He is 12 years old and lives in Ethiopia. His birthday is September 29th. Hope I can help him keep that smile if not make it even wider. Isn't he somethin. :) I hope to keep being his correspondent until he completes the Compassion program.
I pray to be able to keep all my correspondents and pray that none are dropped by sponors. That will mean its possible I could lose being able to write these amazing kids. Until next time..... :)

Compassion, Advocacy Decision, And The Correspondence Choice

Well Compassion has come to mean a lot to me. I have met a lot of amazing fellow sponsors along with experiencing the kindness and helpfulness of Compassion itself. I am even experiencing the big strong need to help any way possible.
Everyone that knows me can tell you how soft hearted I am especially when it comes to animals and children. Bet you can guess which I will be talking about today.... I even get the statement often. "If you pass over your child to her expect them to come back spoiled." Also the good ole phrase, "All kids love Amanda." So even though I won't meet my children for the first time in person all stands the same as if they were in front of me. I love them just as much as any child sitting in front of me.
I have considered alot since I joined Compassion. I have in between October and May sponsored three amazing children and realized I have a talent for getting four year olds mainly (only one of my children aren't four). Did I mention all my children are four year old girls except my one sixteen year old boy.

                     Maylin                                                Angeli

                      Hesler
Back on subject now. I spoke to my preacher about the possibility of raising funds for Compassion which I am happy to say he has heard of. He is considering it and looking at my information I handed him.
Another great thing is I made the decision to become an advocate! I train tomorrow and then I should be offical as far as I know. I am so excited!!! I then should be able to start helping children find sponsors. :) I can not wait!!! Sorry I am going overboard I know. So on to the next thing.
I also made another decision I wouldn't change for the life of me. I chose to become a correspondent. I contacted compassion three days ago and asked for a child. The next day to my surprise and with much joy my corresponce child was already there.
Meet Dafner...
Dafner is from Nicaragua and is just too cute. :) Of course guess what else... Wait for it.... She's a girl of course and is four years old!!! That makes three four year old girls. I'm starting to think Hesler is becoming outnumbered. What do you think??? I can not wait to get to know this precious little girl.
Now I am condsidering two things as I await for tomorrows advocacy training. First off, I am trying to decide if I want to add three more correspondent children. I am pretty much decided on calling them first thing in the morning though and requesting three more children. Lastly, I have decided I am going to sponsor another child, but hopefully my last for a little while. I am stuck between a little girl that's eleven in Honduras that was being told about on the OC site. She has had three sponsors in a very short amount of time and has recieved in three years a total of possibly two letters. She has been on the Compassion site waiting for a sponsor for two-hundred and fifty days. My other choice is a four year old little boy from Peru. He has been waiting on the compassion site for three-hundred and eleven days for a sponsor. He has my just recently passed and dearly loved grannys first name in his name. Jean is what caught my eye after I saw his face and how long he'd been waitng.
As of right now the decision of my sponsor child is pretty much made. If the girl isn't just in someones cart and is actually sponsored I will have an adorable four year old little boy. Either way I am going to end either the girl cycle or the age four cycle. Wish me luck everyone. Until next time.... :)

Hesler My Third Sponsor Child

Well as you all know I have been talking a lot about an oganization called Compassion and talking a lot about my children. This one is no different. Oh yeah and my posting is getting a lot better. :) Now back on subject.

I have talked about Maylin my first child. Recieved an introductory letter. Have posted about the letter she sent me and about her in my second blog post.

And about I have told about Angeli my second child. Recieved an introductory letter from her. She was very adamit about finding out what Bayla and I wanted to be called. Her writter highlighted it and everything for me to see.

Now to talk about my third child. I saw him on compassions website and knew some way I needed to sponsor him. God answered my prayers when I decided that same night if I could get my very own mother to split the sponsorship amount. I spoke to her the next day and she agreed. She was wanting to sponsor, but at the moment couldn't do it alone. So hence, Hesler became the family sponsor. Hope he likes five writters. Hesler is sixteen years old from Guatemala. I await his first letter anxiously as does my mother and the rest of the family.

Isn't he a sweet looking boy. Even better he has someone also in my family that is around his age to write to him. My brother Dalton is fifteen and I imagine they are going to get along just fine. I'll let you know as soon as I receive a letter from him.

Second Sponsor Child

I am now writting my third post in my blog. I have now Sponsored a second Compassion child. As I watched my boyfriends nine year old niece last night she discovered Maylins photo and letter. She then decided she wanted a sponsor child and since I was considering sponsoring another little one with compassion I agreed taking this as my que that it was time to add. My plans were a little boy so I would have one of each.... That this child would be in school.... Oh and the child would be from Guatemala also due to the fact that since I wanted to visit my Compassion children one day I could visit both at the same time.....
Boy was I wrong. Very wrong... This nine year old had a plan of her own I guess. As she looked for hours I came to a few conclusions. First off, she was going to have a girl not a boy. Secondly, and a little later on I found out we may not have a child from Guatemala for the convenience of one terrifying plane trip. Lastly, that the child could end up not being in school.
Finally, around one in the morning and church the next day we had a child chosen. Practically the first child she saw. This child.... wasn't a boy, but a girl. This child....... wasn't from Guatemala, but from Indonesia. This child..... was definitely not in school. I now sponsor a little girl named Angeli from Indonesia. Angeli is three turning four April 18th.
I guess God had a different plan than I did so I will put my trust in him. He helped me make the choice to go ahead and sponsor my second sponsor child through a nine year old. God also decided Angeli needed my niece and I more than a little boy right now. So I follow his guidance and trust in him.
Maylin age four from Guatemala. My first Compassion child. Sponsored October 31st 2012.
Angeli age three from Indonesia. My second sponsor child. Bayla's first sponsor child. Sponsored at almost one in the morning March 17th 2013.
